We are always looking for new ways to improve our health. The new year seems to be the best time to either start or refresh our healthy journey. Here are 5 great smoothie recipes that can kick start your morning!



Pineapple Green Smoothie

  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk

  • ⅓ cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt

  • 1 cup baby spinach

  • 1 cup frozen banana slices (about 1 medium banana)

  • ½ cup frozen pineapple chunks

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

  • 2 teaspoons 1-2 teaspoons pure maple syrup or honey (optional)

Apple-Peanut Butter Smoothie

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 small apple, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter

  • 2 teaspoons honey (Optional)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 4 cubes 4-6 ice cubes


Berry-Kefir Smoothie

  • 1 ½ cups frozen mixed berries

  • 1 cup plain kefir

  • ½ medium banana

  • 2 teaspoons almond butter

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract



Fruit & Yogurt Smoothie

  • 1 cup 3/4 cup nonfat plain yogurt

  • ¼ cup 1/2 cup 100% pure fruit juice

  • 1 ½ cups 1 1/2 cups (6 1/2 ounces) frozen fruit, such as blueberries, raspberries, pineapple or peaches


Pumpkin-Apple Smoothie

  • 1 ½ cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk

  • 1 ⅓ cups chopped apples (2 medium)

  • ½ (15 ounce) can pumpkin

  • ¾ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt

  • ½ cup ice

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • ¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ cup high-protein honey-almond-flavor granola, such as Bear Naked brand
